the oath

A sticking point for many potential Oath Keepers is they may not have taken, don’t remember taking, or weren’t fully engaged when they did take an oath to the Constitution of the united states. To resolve these and other concerns, the Treasure Valley Oath Keepers will offer an oath taking ceremony at every meeting. There are many variations within this country and often the oath taker has made subtle changes without detracting from the significance or obligation. In that spirit, we will generally use the following:

I, [your name], do solemnly swear (or affirm)
that I will support and defend
the Constitution of the United States
against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;
that I take this obligation freely,
without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion.
