Normal people with normal morality know cruel punishment when the see or hear about it. You may try to close it out of your mind, but you know full well that the administration of the USA tortures people in countless ways… in your name… in complete disregard to the limits placed on them by the Constitution and by the 8th Amendment.
Excessive bail???? How about no bail at all? How about no lawyers in your corner? How about not even having the option to pay a fine or bail to be liberated?
You know full well the 8th Amendment is just as dead as the rest.

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
