Today’s post at SpaceWeather.com makes the coronal mass ejections coming our way over the next couple of days sound far less threatening for those of you not operating satellites or ham radios. Somewhere in their publications or videos this morning I saw the phrase “not the big one”, which sums it up for me. All the things I ought to do before that particular one were just more than I wanted to squeeze into today. That is however a stark reminder that there are quite a few things that should be on my ToDo list, or rather in my case, higher priorities on that list. We’ll see. It is all most important, then again, none of it is. Enjoy the […]

This could be an important event to prepare for. If a massive Coronal Mass Ejection (solar flare) strikes the Earth as is a predicted possibility, electronics could be devastated, along with our entire electrical distribution system. This might be an auspicious time to put some effort into a Faraday Cage or two … and employ them for electronic stuff you value highly. I don’t want to overstate the warning, but I think it prudent to put some time in Friday protecting our electronics and have at least half a plan for a complete grid-down power failure. Hope and Faith are not plans. – Ted – Thank SpaceWeather.com for this warning GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH (G3): Three and perhaps four CMEs are heading […]

Thanks to California Carnivores from my old neighborhood, I picked up a variety of insect eating plants. Expecting to enjoy their beauties and appreciate the insect population reduction for one summer, I have been pleasantly surprised to get several years from them. This particular bog that lives next to a south facing window in my studio is far exceeding expectations, surviving, growing and even reproducing well. Another bog garden is in its dormant stage now, but will likely be a fine pitcher plant in our laundry room again next spring. A third did not come back last year and will likely need to be refreshed with new purchases next spring. Sundews (Drosera) If an insect ever evolved the brains […]

On November 14, the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (1986 Act) had its 37th anniversary. One of the things it created is “vaccine court,” (the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program or VICP) designed to pay Americans for injury or death caused by a vaccine. That may sound good, but while the government created the program with one hand, the other hand was quietly removing all liability from vaccine manufacturers and taking away the constitutional right to sue them. Adding insult to injury, the program caps the amount that can be paid for a death following vaccination at a mere $250,000. Nearly $5.1 billion has been awarded to over 10,000 Americans for injury and death under the VICP, according to a November […]

If you didn’t grok it before then, his pride of and commitment to “Operation Warp Speed” that broke all records for bringing a vaccine to market should have awakened you. Heck, before the vaxx and mandated vaxx, none of us could have conceived of a heavily pushed cure arriving before the disease it targeted. However, as George Carlin famously said, “It’s A BIG Club & You Ain’t In It!” Nobody goes very far in politics who is not in it … and certainly nowhere close to the national stage … of this shallow show they pump out via heavily promoted talking heads. A quick review of my posts on the topic find that I finally figured it out in 2020. […]

The Russian “special operation” in Ukraine had a single purpose from the beginning that has been steadfastly pursued: “A demilitarized Ukraine“. Now as they near successful completion of that, the NATO puppetmasters are “ready to negotiate for peace”. I promise that the only agreement acceptable to Russia will be A demilitarized Ukraine. If that is not in the offer, the Russian leadership and military machine will continue via military violence on to their objective. While there were numerous provocations preceding the Russian military move, publicly announced plans to bring the US State Department’s Ukrainian puppet government into a fully nuclear-armed NATO puppet was 100% an unacceptable threat to the security of their eastern neighbor. In the first few days of […]
By Ted Dunlap, on November 5th, 2023 Here is a supremely accurate analog clock to help with your big chore for the day: I also added it to the Bitterroot Bugle’s left column so you can find it any time of any day … so long as my site and the Internet last. A regular un-favorite day of mine when the gubbmint reminds us they control our lives… and a day when I have to wear a watch, wandering my world changing the settings on a zillion different clocks, only a few of which are intuitive. I have ranted about “daylight savings time” more than a few times. The ‘Old Indian’ meme says it as well as anything. […]

Israel’s false flag theater was hard to miss. But of course the lamestream media missed it, or pretended to. The most secure border on Earth shut down all sensors and evacuated all defenders for a few hours during which Israel’s “enemies” attacked. This “unexpected” attack justifies the most heavily subsidized military machine in the world to completely annihilate a heretofore thriving megalopolis of 2,747,943 Palestinians … about the same as Chicago, Illinois, USofA. C’mon, nobody is buying that BS. Oh wait, the federally-approved FCC-licensed broadcast monopolies ALL BOUGHT IT … and continue to play that pretend scenario incessantly, pounding the war drums with more vigor than they contribute to anything that might be useful to our own country. It […]

Waves on bodies of water behave similarly to all other waves in nature. Understanding wave behavior is important to radio antenna designers; which is a role I dabble in, and aspire to improve upon. I am currently teaching a class on amateur radio to a group of future hams. For their edification as well as my own I went looking for the video below. It was hard to find, so I saved and uploaded it to my Brighteon video channel. During my search, I watched a lot of instructional videos on waves, and in particular on the electro-magnetic waves such as those that carry our radio signals. I have a lot to learn, and many of those were hard for […]
