Independence Day

I cannot simply let it pass, but I have other things I wanna get done today. I have written, published, shared numerous essays on the subject, but that is just because I want people to consider what independence means to us as a culture as well as individually.

It is a mind set, a spirit, a way of thinking, a whole approach to life. Independent people are complete. Others do not even understand what they are missing.

Celebrate today by doing what you want. Be self directed, ungovernable. Fershur do not obey the rules and demands of your inferiors … those who have wormed their way into public pronouncement roles.

Here are links and excerpts from what I previously published about this day.

celebrating” Independence Day

By Ted Dunlap, on July 4th, 2021

In 1774 the north American colonists were an insurgency. Within two years they would become a revolution. They won. At least that is what the history books the victors wrote tell us. But who won? What did they win? Are we “independent” from the former oppressors? I am no longer convinced “we” won that one. Eleven years after the British surrendered to the colonists, the Masons met in Philadelphia to hammer out a replacement for the Articles of Confederation. The result we all live with is the USofA Constitution. Even the gaping holes in it allowing liberty’s erosion weren’t enough. They have stopped even honoring those words hammered out in 1787.. Theoretically, the British Crown lost control of us […]

Happy Independence Day

By Ted Dunlap, on July 3rd, 2020

Renaming it “4th of July” is not merely laziness. Of course it is the 4th on your calendar, but it is a celebration representing some brave fighters’ Declaration of Independence from a powerful parasitic class of people who had demonstrated a monopoly on violence and oppression. The patriots won a round. The ruling elite had to reorganize. It took a hundred years and another major military war that the freedom fighters lost… not by much, mind you, but they did lose. A long methodical decline in liberty followed from then to now. I just ask you today to spend a little time thinking about independence from oppression, the risks those rebels took and the benefits they won for many subsequent […]

independence

By Ted Dunlap, on July 4th, 2018

I came across the article below in Waking Times. It describes recognizing and escaping The Matrix that nearly all of us live in. I am somewhere on the trail from here to there; quite happy to be looking at the machinations and mayhem from outside the tumult. Not that I can be fully removed from, nor that it won’t take me along when it goes down, but I will at least understand where I am and why along the way. It is far more peaceful to know when to drift, when to swim, and in what direction rather that futilely thrashing and flailing. I have been pondering what I might post on our “Independence Day”. Of course I was […]

what day is it?

By Ted Dunlap, on July 4th, 2017

July 4th is flags, beer, barbecue and fireworks. What for? All of our lawyers are contracted affiliates of the British Bar Association. Sixty percent of the USofA senators and 43% of our congresscritters are lawyers. British bankers own “our” federal reserve, and, thus complete control of our money. So Brits own our courts, our legislature and our economy. What exactly did the colonists of 1776 win independence from? And about this flag USofA politicians, courts and ENFORCERS of their laws wave around… It is The Flag Of The Admiralty. What exactly are you celebrating?

major hits to liberty since July 4, 1776

By compatriot, on July 4th, 2015

Five Laws to Repeal on Independence Day JULY 4, 2015 — Ryan McMaken Unfortunately, Independence Day has become a day for many to celebrate the United States government. But the actual historical event behind the day — the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress — was an illegal act of political defiance that led to secession and the overthrow of an entire system of government well entrenched on American shores. Moreover, it is quite anachronistic to connect the modern unified nation-state known as “the United States” to this event, nor does it make sense to invoke anything having to do with the Constitution of 1787. Indeed, as Jeffrey Rogers Hummel has pointed out, the Constitution […]

flags of independence

By Ted Dunlap, on July 3rd, 2014

Betsy Ross flag What could be more American than Fourth Of July? We explode fantastic quantities of Chinese fireworks, wave modern made-in-China 50-state American flags heat tubular mystery meat over smoldering hydrocarbon briquettes, slather GMO tomato paste on fluff buns, wash it down with beer-like liquids and admire the politicians as they remind us we live in a great, wonderful democracy, proudly supporting our heroic troops spreading democracy around the world.Gadsden flag My biggest beef with this is the widespread acceptance of the word “democracy” when applied to the republic defined by our constitution. It is no accident the rulers chose to pervert a government of laws into mob rule. They correctly anticipated the ability to sway the voting majority […]
