The First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Does that mean that tin-pot dictators cannot order you to not assemble nor can they dictate against your right to protest? Actually no. It just says that Congress cannot make a law against assembly or protest.
Of course in their wildest imaginations they never figured anybody else could if Congress could not. No state assembly, governor, mayor, council or anyone else can … in a free country as defined by our Constitution.
The problem is that we let that one go. Fantasy Emperors have run amok. The sheep say BAAAAA.
A modest short-term victory has been handed to us.
This article from the Hal Turner Radio Show has the story.
FINALLY ! ! ! Justice Department WARNS Cops:
NO Arresting Citizens for Peaceful Protests

Police throughout the United States were officially warned against arresting, threatening or intimidating citizens who peaceably assemble to protest — even under COVID-19 situations, because the right to protest is enshrined in the US Constitution!
Here’s a copy of the notice issued by the United States Department of Justice:
Police in a number of states have recently been arresting people who peaceably assemble to protest COVID-19 lock-downs. Cops actually went so far as to tell citizens that peaceably assembling to petition for redress of grievance (specifically protected by the US Constitution) was “not essential” activity! Too bad for them that it is not up to them to decide what is “essential” or not.
This memo puts a stop to that law enforcement nonsense.
