to your health

Here is another collection of links. I had been saving each and every one for further review and sharing by themselves.

This morning two thirds of my chicken flock went to a new home. There were too many for our existing facility. That is similar to my saved-up links: too many to get the individual attention they deserve.

In no particular order, linked headlines with small exerpts:

Niko niko pace – the gentle path to success

Niko niko running is a Japanese concept pioneered by researcher dr Hiroaki Tanaka in his book ‘Slow jogging’ from 2016 (not a title destined to sell many copies in Europe or America but I decided to buy it anyway). Hiroaki Tanaka formalised his system after using it to improve from 4:11 for the marathon in his thirties to 2:40 when his was fifty-years old and eventually 2:38:50 – his personal best after that.

‘Niko niko’ literally means ‘smile’ in Japanese so while the term ‘niko niko run’ may sound a bit strange to us English-speakers, the idea is simple: ‘run with a smile’ for the majority of your training – the antithesis of the ‘no pain, no gain’ and ‘let’s go out and bulk up that ego’ which has been drummed into our heads in our modern culture.

Castor oil is great for thickening and regrowing hair, eyelashes and eyebrows

…Because castor oil softens the skin so much, the thought is that this softening helps to break down deep scar tissue so it may be smoothed out. In addition, castor oil has shown promise as a white blood cell stimulating agent. Studies have also shown that castor bean oil helps reduce the inflammatory response in subcutaneous tissue. This may be why it seems to speed wound healing, and may also contribute to its ability to reduce scarring more quickly…

…If you’re simply looking to help thicken hair that is thinning at the edges of your hairline, you can use pure castor oil, with a light hand of course. Another use is to apply the oil to eyelashes to help thicken and strengthen them, as well as to help prevent thinning and shedding…

Alzheimer’s Patient Reverses Symptoms by Applying Coconut Oil On A Daily Basis

Carolyn had read about and was familiar with the benefits of coconut oil. Immediately after her mother’s liberation from the nursing home, Carolyn started liberally applying coconut oil. She would do this twice a day, after bathing in the morning and again at night before bedtime.

Within 5 days she started noticing an immediate and drastic improvement in her mother’s condition. Her mother started remembering people and names she hadn’t in years. She was able to communicate again. Carolyn was amazed when her mother was able to read, out loud, a Bible storybook and only struggled with a couple of words.

What’s Inside An Ayurvedic Medicine Cabinet?

Thanks to the preservation of some sacred texts, we have access to the wisdom of 5000 years of medical science. Find out what healing substances have stood the test of time, and are still some of the safest and most potent medicines available today.

Ayurveda, a sanskrit word meaning “knowledge of life”, refers to a system of medicine developed in India during the Vedic period more than 2,000 years ago. The oral tradition is believed to extend as far back as 5,000 years.1 Outlined in the sacred Hindu texts known as The Great Trilogy, Ayurveda is believed to be the world’s oldest healing science still in practice today.

The Ayurvedic system for maintaining health and balance is rooted in the inextricable link between mind and body, inner life and outer world.

Harvard Study: This is What Meditation Literally Does to the Brain

An eight week study conducted by Harvard researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) determined that meditation literally rebuilds the brains grey matter in just eight weeks. It’s the very first study to document that meditation produces changes over time in the brain’s grey matter. (1)

“Although the practice of meditation is associated with a sense of peacefulness and physical relaxation, practitioners have long claimed that meditation also provides cognitive and psychological benefits that persist throughout the day.

“This study demonstrates that changes in brain structure may underlie some of these reported improvements and that people are not just feeling better because they are spending time relaxing.” – (1) Sara Lazar of the MGH Psychiatric Neuroimaging Research Program and a Harvard Medical School Instructor in Psychology

Nearly half of CBD patients quit using traditional medicines

Researchers from the Brightfield Group and medical marijuana site HelloMD surveyed 2,400 of HelloMD’s 150,000 members, and found 42 percent of people who used cannabis-derived forms of cannabidiol (CBD) stopped using traditional medications, reports Forbes.

“We are seeing an exponential rise in the interest of CBD products from our patient community—particularly among women,” said Dr. Perry Solomon, Chief Medical Officer of HelloMD. “While we still have much to learn about CBD, we cannot ignore this one fact; the majority of those using CBD product today receive great benefit. This has the potential for far-reaching consequences.”

I cannot resist adding my comment to this one: Remember that the federal war on drug users categorizes cannabis as a Schedule 1 Drug, meaning it has NO MEDICINAL USE, is hightly addictive and deadly.

All constantly proven to be lies.
