greenhouse design

I enjoy old-school mechanical drawing, drafting and design … with paper, pencil, T-square, triangles and such. Having a simple drawing board, perhaps even a genuine drafting desk has been on my short list every time I end up with a home that has space for it. My new studio may well be the place this happens, but not until we are fully moved in and settled. Meanwhile, I have a lot of projects that really require some planning and drawing to insure they fit together well, have the right materials, and in some cases, communicate to the builder when I am subcontracting the work out. In other words, I have a lot of drawings to do before I can get […]

shadow theater

While interesting to watch, I expect no surprising results here. The legal limit has been reached for hiding guvmint oaf-fish-als’ roles in the JFK assassination. But the CIA will cover its collective butt. They have been involved in much, much worse than simply murdering one USofA president and attorney general. Their litany of “misdeeds” has not yet come out, nor will it ever. Thus the interesting part is who covers for them and how they do it… interesting, but only enlightening in who it exposes as part of, beholding to, or under control of the deep state. Amusing, but only watching which way they squirm their way out of it. We might get the moo, but we won’t get the […]

trying to be like a duck

My hands so very tired … I must reduce my demands on them. I continue to be grateful for the most useful one semester class Sonoma State University sold to me: “Stress Management”. In times like these I often benefit greatly from laying flat on my back, telling tense body parts to “let go”, and getting my mind into the zone. “Why?”, you might ask. Our rental became our future home a couple months ago. Our stable lives got real busy. I canceled my ham licensing study group and the trombone lessons I was giving. Those commitments, I had to admit to myself, were just too much. The abandoned, unlicensed pair of non-functioning cars and dilapidated trailer are out of […]

Of Course The Country Is Divided

from The Ron Paul Liberty Report Government is very slick with its marketing: – United “We” Stand – “It’s Not Who We Are” As A Country – “We The People” – Russia Wants “To Divide Us” … and on and on. Government likes to portray the country as a unified entity. It’s pure fantasy and false advertising at its finest. Let’s say you’re person who believes in “live and let live.” You’d never use force against your neighbor, and you’d never send government to use force against your neighbor for your benefit. You want to be left alone, and you show the same courtesy to others. That doesn’t mean you don’t need others. You’ll gladly trade and exchange with […]

weather gods

Many people do not want to consider the possibility of select humans deliberately modifying the weather. Dark thoughts that some people may have purposely created superstorms, flooding and other destruction is unpleasant and undesirable. Unfortunately, it is not only possible, but likely that some, if not all of recent precedent-breaking “natural disasters” were deliberately man made. The article below from Humans Are Free details the documented, published HAARP program. The link above is to their home page; clicking on the headline below takes you to the article quoted in its native habitat. The Ultimate Weapon of Mass Destruction: ‘Owning the Weather’ for Military Use   Introductory Note Environmental modification techniques (ENMOD) for military use constitute, in the present context of […]

autumn equinox

It is not a Hallmark Holiday or made-up event. In cultures past, who paid attention to natural rhythms, the autumn equinox was a big deal. Today, day and night are of equal length. Harvest festivals and putting produce up for the winter are major parts of this natural rhythm in societies who do not get their food from grocery stores and restaurants. Your wall calendars and media will call today “first day of autumn” or some other trivializing phrase. Just don’t confuse it with other fabricated events on your pre-printed calendar. The Cosmos says this one is real. The days have been getting shorter since the summer solstice, and will continue shrinking until the winter solstice December 21st. I’ll be […]

exploding heads

Another one bites the dust… The Snowflake Generation The ME Generation The Don’t tell me NO generation The Everyone is a Winner generation The Trust the officials, don’t trust your parents generation However you slice it, the middle aged people today are not the same as they were a generation ago. A man is as good as his word. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Give more than you receive. It is this latter one that has come into question today after a third close, dear “millenial” blew up on me this year. In each case I have replayed the incident and all the preceding baggage I can conjure up only to find no […]

violence is golden

“Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Nations and peoples who forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms.” — Robert A. Heinlein (1907-1988) “Freedom… refer[s] to a social relationship among people — namely, the absence of force as a prospective instrument of decision making. Freedom is reduced whenever a decision is made under threat of force, whether or not force actually materializes or is evident in retrospect.” — Thomas Sowell (1930- ) The above courtesy of http://quotes.liberty-tree.ca/DailyQuotes “Strong communities are peaceful communities” — Ted Dunlap […]

economics lesson for disasters

Saturday, September 09, 2017 Economics Natural disaster hurricane Price gouging Price Controls Professor Horwitz Explains Price Gouging In the Midst of the Storm It takes guts to go on CNN and explain economic truth – for humanitarian reasons – in the midst of emergency conditions. by  Foundation for Economic Education It takes guts to go on CNN and explain economic truth – for humanitarian reasons – in the midst of emergency conditions. But FEE’s Distinguished Fellow Steven Horwitz did just that, right as Hurricane Irma is bearing down on Florida. The immediate problem is that anti-gouging laws have contributed to causing massive shortages for gasoline, water, and other essentials right when they are needed the most.  Horwitz explained […]

getting to know our good neighbors

Six months ago I bought a pair of custom topographical maps. One is my Area Of Interest (AOI) – that included my super-vulnerable home and our bug-out location, the homestead we bought and “rented” to offspring. The other map was a much more usable scale covering our Area Of Operations (AOO), that is the homestead neighborhood. See more detail here: mapping your neighborhood Because the kids are of the Snowflake Generation, the Me Generation, run to the tune of The World Owes Me A Living, the rental has become our new home. We are as busy as one-armed-paper-hangers cleaning up, remodeling and moving in. This has increased my focus on our AOO. It occurred to me that our podunk county […]

bad news for sitters

I have seen mentioned by numerous researchers that sitting a lot is bad for us. On the other hand, too much time with weight on my left knee with its long-abused thin meniscus makes it increasingly tender. I try to make sure I spend some time getting physical standing or moving on my own two feet, but also avoid excessive time loading that knee. I just read this latest study posted below. It is not really new information to me, but definitely reinforces the message with solid study results. Sigh. I suppose I will review my sitting bouts, and try every 30 minutes to get 5 minutes of walking, dancing (definitely NOT me), or some regular interesting activity that […]

the weather gods

They are real proud of their “success” in geoengineering. More than half a century started with “cloud seeding” and progressed to widespread aerosol spraying with a myriad of toxic nanoparticles combined with huge electrical antenna arrays strategically located world-wide, sending focused charges up, down and sideways. With generous financial incentives and employment opportunities for staff and students alike, participating universities have full blown degree programs that feed the system, filling the manipulators of our ecosystem with pride that they can overpower Mother Nature. Now the old 100-year flood, 100-year storm models that used to determine where it was prudent to put buildings and infrastructure are being blown out of the water, or under water, as the case may be.  Ha […]

when the obvious becomes hard to ignore

The “war on drugs” scam has been running for 45 years, but its cover appears to be breaking down. The ludicrous Reefer Madness campaign is now widely ridiculed. The state-by-state rebellion of the people against the ruling elite is proving more than the mythology of their war can hide. The scourge to society and its children has not taken place in legalized pot states. The “no medicinal benefits” CDC lie has been thoroughly debunked by real world experience. And now pot prohibition’s obvious funding of organized crime, in both private and government sectors, is being laid bare.   Legalizing Weed Has Done What 1 Trillion Dollars and a 40 Year War Couldn’t Written by Nick Bernabe The $1 trillion War […]

resisting the all-seeing-eye

This came as a newsletter from the search engine I have been using for quite a while. I highly recommend duckduckgo for all your websearches. They have even more suggestions for ducking, at least a little bit, the Surveillance State. -Ted How to Live Without Google Remove Google from your life? Yes, it can be done! Google trackers have been found on 75% of the top million websites. This means they are not only tracking what you search for, they’re also tracking which websites you visit, and using all your data for ads that follow you around the internet. Your personal data can also be subpoenaed by lawyers, including for civil cases like divorce. Google answered over 100,000 such […]
