stupid smart phones

I was going along with cell phone evolution for a while. I wised-up about the time they started with the “smart phone” moniker. Privacy and health concerns are enough to put me off that feed. I share a couple of recent articles below touching on some of those concerns with current knowledge.

First off, I will resist the constant monitoring by Big Brother as well as I conveniently can. I phrase it that way as I recognize The Deep State is a pervasive, cancerous growth in our world. Escape is possible, but requires focus, dedication and abandonment of too many modern conveniences.

My attempt at balance dictates resistance, avoidance and fershur I will not facilitate Big Brother’s snooping. That very much includes not paying good money to install a “smart” television they can remotely control as a listening post in my home. And I sure-as-heck am not paying to carry their audio, video and geographical-locating monitoring device with me wherever I go.

Two-way radios listen to radio signals that pass around and through us wherever we happen to be. They transmit ONLY when we hold the PTT (Push To Talk) key. You cannot be located by the act of listening. Your radio cannot be remotely turned on, monitored, or tracked by surveiller-wannabes. The PTT is completely hardware-controlled. No programming, hacking or secret opsys software is going to do that with current two-way radio technology.

Significantly, You also are not generating RF Energy by listening. Radio Frequency (RF) energy is well known to disrupt mammalian bodies. That is to say, RF is a known carcinogen, along with many other known deleterious effects on us physically. Cell phones constantly transmit to cell towers, or transmit seeking the next available cell tower. As we now know, they are ON even when you have them turned OFF. No thanks.

Humans fit into the cosmos in ways wise men have often touched on, modern researchers [re-]discover, and some innately sense. RF energy can disrupt energies few or none of us yet understand. Unknown is not the same as non-existent. Just cuz you don’t know why nature or your god attempts to grow long hair on your head does not mean it is without purpose or that cutting it is without downsides.

While I am not moving into a cave or underground to dodge man-made RF, I am also not deliberately carrying a constant-RF-generator next to my heart, my hip, or holding it as close as possible to my brain.

You pays your money, you make your choices.

Warning: Cell phone radiation is much higher than what manufacturers claim

Image: Warning: Cell phone radiation is much higher than what manufacturers claim

(Natural News) A recent report by the Environmental Health Trust revealed that popular mobile phone brands emit radiation that is about three times higher than the manufacturer’s previously reported radiation levels, of which Samsung, Apple, Motorola, and Nokia are the main suspects. In line with this, the French Agence Nationale Des Frequences has issued a list of mobile phones — including details of make, model, and test results for each mobile phone assessed — that have higher than expected radiation emission.

French physician and prominent radiation testing expert Dr. Marc Arazi expressed concerns regarding the contents of the report. According to the physician, most mobile phones are handled very close to the body – in places like women’s bras, men’s trouser pants pockets, and even belts.

“As a physician, I am deeply concerned about what this means for our health and especially the health of our children. People have a right to know that when cell phones are tested in ways people commonly use phones – such as in direct contact with their body – the values exceed current regulatory limits. This is a first victory for transparency in this industry scandal,”Dr. Arazi was quoted as saying in NaturalBlaze.com.

Radiation from mobile phones found to cause cancer

An animal study carried out by researchers at the National Institutes of Health‘s National Toxicology Program showed that exposure to high levels of mobile phone radiation may increase the risk of developing brain and heart cancer. As part of the study, the research team exposed rodents to carefully calibrated radio-frequency (RF) radiation levels for about nine hours a day for two years. The results showed that rats exposed to relatively high RF levels developed rare forms of brain and heart cancer compared with their non-exposed counterparts. The team also found that the increased incidence of brain and heart cancer coincided with higher RF exposure, indicating a causal relationship between the conditions.

“This is by far — far and away — the most carefully done cell phone bioassay, a biological assessment. This is a classic study that is done for trying to understand cancers in humans. There will have to be a lot of work after this to assess if it causes problems in humans, but the fact that you can do it in rats will be a big issue. It actually has me concerned, and I’m an expert,” former NTP head Christopher Portier noted in ScientificAmerican.com.

A meta-analysis published in 2015 also showed that exposure to mobile phone radiation is associated with the onset of certain cancers. The research team cautioned that radiofrequency from mobile phones may damage the DNA, which in turn may accumulate over time and trigger the onset of various adverse conditions including headaches, fatigue, skin conditions, and even cancer. The experts also noted that the duration of radiofrequency exposure may play a role in cancer onset. According to the scientists, using mobile phones for just 20 minutes daily may lead to a threefold increased risk of developing brain tumor. The team also noted that using mobile phones for an hour daily for four years may elevate the risk of tumor development from three to five folds.

“These data are a clear sign of the real risks this kind of radiation poses for human health…[Our] data were obtained on adults who used cell phones mostly up to 10 years as adults. The situation can dramatically differ for children who use cell phones in childhood, when their biology is much more sensitive to hazardous factors, and will use it over the [course of their] life,” study author Igor Yakymenko said in NYDailyNews.com.

Facebook Now Has a Patent to Literally Use Your Camera and Watch Your Emotional Reactions

In its latest dystopian innovation, Facebook has decided it would like to surreptitiously spy on people through their cameras, employing contentious facial recognition technology to analyze their emotions — in essence, this amounts to reading a person’s mind.

A recently-resurfaced patent filed by Facebook previously evinces the social media platform’s remarkably Orwellian goal of reading users’ emotions upon encountering various content — information which would then be used to tailor material for relevance to a person’s mood.

Flatly called “Techniques for emotion detection and content delivery,” the patent — filed in November 2015 and rediscovered by New York-based marketing intelligence firm, CB Insights, upon its granting on May 25, 2017 — “would automatically add emotional information to text messages, predicting the user’s emotion based on methods of keyboard input.

“The visual format of the text message would adapt in real time based on the user’s predicted emotion. As the patent notes (and as many people have likely experienced), it can be hard to convey mood and intended meaning in a text-only message; this system would aim to reduce misunderstandings.

“The system could pick up data from the keyboard, mouse, touch pad, touch screen, or other input devices, and the patent mentions predicting emotion based on relative typing speed, how hard the keys are pressed, movement (using the phone’s accelerometer), location, and other factors.”

It seems the goliath social media platform’s goal — at least superficially — is to keep users interested enough to make visits to the site longer in duration.

But the creepiness factor — and the tacit removal of user’s ability to choose which content they’d like to see — makes Facebook’s patent a dangerous foray into further control, beyond even the already infuriating algorithms about which users have complained for years.

The Independent reports:

“If you smiled as you looked at pictures of one of your friends, for instance, Facebook’s algorithm would take note of that and display more pictures of that friend in your News Feed.

“Another example included in the patent application explains that if you looked away from your screen when a video of a kitten played, Facebook would stop showing similar type of videos in your Feed.

“In another case, the document says that if you happened to watch an advert for scotch, Facebook could choose to target you with more adverts for scotch.”

A second patent, called “Systems and methods for dynamically generating emojis based on image analysis of facial features,” indicates the possibility emojis could be conjured to fit a user’s mood — and Facebook refused to confirm to the Daily Mail whether or not it would be employed.

CB Insights additionally notes,

“The patent mentions several additional features, such as the ability to modify the emoji based on more detailed analysis of the user’s face, and the ability to capture gestures made by the user and add those to the emoji […]

“By reducing users’ facial expressions to emojis from a pre-set list, Facebook could potentially analyze users’ emotions more easily.

“Facebook could gain clearer insight into feelings and reactions, while also adding a new interactive feature.”

It appears Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg didn’t learn any conceivable lesson in previous flirtations with manipulating users’ emotions.

In 2014, millions of users were jolted to learn Facebook had performed a secret social engineering experiment by deftly crafting information posted to 689,000 profiles — filtering posts, videos, comments, images, and links — to make people feel more positively or negatively through a process known as “emotional contagion.”

“Emotions expressed by friends, via online social networks, influence our own moods, constituting, to our knowledge, the first experimental evidence for massive-scale emotional contagion via social networks,” the joint Cornell University and University of California study, conducted unbeknownst to users and without their permission, found.

Ensuing contention excoriated the world’s largest social media platform, and Facebook was later forced to capitulate, stating it “failed to communicate clearly why and how we did it.”

Privacy advocates, activists, and attorneys were appalled at the mass, secretive intrusion, and — mostly due to the covert nature of the experiment — rumors occasionally circulate that other such analyses are still being conducted.

However fundamentally invasive the rediscovered patent might sound in the context of the prior PR nightmare, a Facebook spokesperson cited by the Independent insisted:

“We often seek patents for technology we never implement, and patents should not be taken as an indication of future plans.”

Of course, Facebook users around the world didn’t find comfort in a picture which surfaced last year of Zuckerberg with his web camera taped over — a detail which could now only kindle suspicions the patent technology might already be the subject of a test run.

Whistleblower Edward Snowden’s ominous warning to everyone to cover the cameras and microphones on all devices seems all the more prescient.
