Greece on the slippery slope

Cyprus, Venezuela, Ukraine, Yemen, Greece … If you aren’t paying attention, serious changes are going to surprise and shock you. Last Friday, Prime Minister Tsipras assured the Greek people that the banks were solid. Monday their money was not so much theirs any more. …As the clock ran out on a Greece deal, Greeks were handed a daily 60 euros ($67) cash withdrawal limit, sending crowds of elderly depositors who do not have ATM cards rushing to closed bank branches. “I came here at 4 a.m. because I have to get my pension,” said 74-year-old Anastasios Gevelidis, one of about 100 retirees waiting outside the main branch of the National Bank of Greece in the country’s second-largest city of Thessaloniki. escape the matrix

I removed the preamble from the following article. To see it in its entirety, go to D. C. Clothesline – Ted Slave or Rebel? Ten Principles for Escaping the Matrix and Standing Up to Tyranny Posted on June 29, 2015 by John W Whitehead     The following principles, taken from my new book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, may help any budding freedom fighters in the struggle to liberate themselves and our society. First, we must come to grips with the reality that the present system does not foster freedom. It denies freedom and must be altered. “Our authoritarian system is based on cruelty and control—it increasingly drives natural love and feelings from our society and […]

Zeus testing us

Last night an electrical storm rolled over us. One really big flash woke me up, followed by a major thunderclap a second later. There was no electricity in our house immediately thereafter. Still no juice at 0600 this morning. Think: “Good thing today is among the longest days of the year. Sunlight sure is convenient”. No water from mutual water system confirms it is not just our home being affected and serves as reminder that there is no conserving the water pressure like we could if we were alone on the pressure tank. Slide a stool in front of the refrigerator door so we don’t forget to keep it closed. Turn the off-grid 2-meter ham radio on to scan. No […]

home-made motorcycle cover

At the beginning of the month I got an offer I couldn’t refuse on a BMW motorcycle. It was a brand and style I’ve been dreaming about for lots of years, but at a price I’ve never seen the likes of. I thought I could widen the entrance and reorganize our ‘sally port’ to park it under a cover. That didn’t work out. Plan B was an all weather motorcycle cover. I didn’t really want to spend the bucks … well, at least not right away. So I bought the better quality tarp offered by our local hardware and building-supply store. I tied it on with bailing twine, figuring that would get me by for months. That became tedious getting […]

gout out

A decade or so ago I had a bout with gout. One big toe was so sensitive I couldn’t have a sheet touch it going to bed. There is no forgetting you hurt. It is highly crippling and inspires serious efforts to find a cure. A nurse-practitioner decided my pain was gout, wrote a prescription and sent me off. I filled the prescription, but read about the drug online before taking it. Holey smokes! If you value your internal organs, you won’t take this stuff. So I didn’t. Instead, I studied gout online. As you know, there are lots of opinions online regarding just about anything imaginable. Gout is no exception. But there is art to processing information and, as […]

disaster preparations

It used to be that various local, regional, national, governmental and non-governmental agencies would publish information, lists and planning tools for potential disasters. Now you mostly hear disdainful comments about “preppers” as if that is a bad thing. I have to take a deep breath and accept this as cultural Darwinism. It is going to be ugly regardless of what form the unforeseen takes that comes our way. Those of you reading this blog know a lot of ugly things are actually foreseeable; predictable. But most, even I, are not well prepared to weather all but the mildest storms. It is sure going to be interesting. Here are some more thoughts on the subject: 13 Things People Will Wish They […]

Turmeric Beats Ibuprofen

editor note: tuRmeRic has two Rs. Pronounced correctly, you hear both Turmeric Beats Ibuprofen for Arthritis of the Knee Posted at on: Tuesday, April 1st 2014 at 8:00 pm Written By: Sayer Ji, Founder An exciting new clinical trial published in The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine has revealed that an effective natural alternative to the exceedingly popular pharmaceutical painkiller ibuprofen exists for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (OA), and it is a familiar kitchen spice known to be far superior both in safety and the number of side benefits it confers to any drug in the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) drug class. Last year, in a Lancet review on the topic, ibuprofen was identified to be as toxic […]

killing a free country

May 1919 at Dusseldorf, Germany, the allied forces discovered a copy of these ‘Rules.’ They were first printed in the United States in the ‘Bartlesville (Oklahoma) Examiner-Enterprise’ the same year, 1919. Almost 20 years later, in 1946, the attorney general of Florida obtained them from a known member of the Communist Party, who acknowledged that the ‘Rules’ were then still a part of the Communist program for the United States. 1. Corrupt the young, get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial. Destroy their ruggedness. 2. Get control of all means of publicity. 3. Get people’s minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books and other trivialities. 4. Divide the people […]

new PatchWorks designs

We are getting the hang of our new business, but still have a long ways to go. I am also getting the hang of my new motorcycle, but there too have a long ways to go. I went over the hill to North Fork mostly to practice cornering. On my first trip, I chatted with one of the shopkeepers about doing some machine embroidery for them. This was my second practice session and second visit to The Village at North Fork. One of the two designs I was asked to try for them was “The River of No Return”. I did not do the simple one they had on a sticker, but chose to do it my way – that […]

$200 Million Went to House Members to Pass Fast Track

Here’s Who Took the Cash Money in Politics Many think our government is for sale. However, by taking a look at the facts below provided by the Open Secrets, it is easy to understand where they are coming from. Looking back at Friday the 12th, the House voted on Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), the controversial bill that gives power to the executive branch to negotiate treaties. TPA limit’s Congress’ ability to better a trade deal by subjecting members of Congress to 90 days of reviewing the trade agreement, prohibiting any amendments on the implementing legislation, and giving them an up or down vote. TPA passed with a mere 219-211 vote with only 218 needed to pass. The real shocker comes […]

dirt can’t hide

‘Clinton Cash’ author demolishes Hillary’s self-defense By Peter Schweizer June 22, 2015 | 8:06pm Modal Trigger Hillary Clinton Photo: Getty Images Grave incompetence or brazen dishonesty? Those are the only two conclusions one can reasonably come to after reviewing Hillary Clinton’s stunning Sunday interview on local New Hampshire TV. When WMUR local TV host Josh McElveen asked Clinton why her State Department greenlit the transfer of 20 percent of all US uranium to the Russian government, Clinton claimed she had no involvement in her own State Department’s decision to approve the sale of Uranium One to Russia. “I was not personally involved because that wasn’t something the secretary of state did,” said Clinton. The transfer of 20 percent of US […]

links, links and more links

I just discovered what it looks like when you select your own news sources. For some folks, Bilderberg TV does it for them. Pretty awful idea methinks. However, the alternative does take some effort. As I prepare to wipe and rebuild one of my computers, I figured I’d copy my 2+ years accumulation of links to restore without having to start over finding good and reliable information sources. Wow! That was a tedious chore. Sure a lot simpler to sit in the easy chair and let them feed you. But, obviously, the quality amd reliability make it worth the effort. So I share the results here: activism Cop Block Guerrillamerica FIJA Montana Cop Block Montana Shooting […]

The President Gets it Wrong (Again) on 2nd Amendment Rights

No doubt, you have heard the news. Nine people were tragically murdered in a South Carolina church last night. And, as we have come to expect, anti-gun politicians like President Barack Obama are already using the tragedy to attack our Second Amendment rights. The following response is what Gun Owners of America posted on its website today, and its Facebook and Twitter sites. The President Gets it Wrong Once Again: Guns are actually saving lives by Erich Pratt Gun Owners of America Just hours after the tragic shooting in a South Carolina church, President Barack Obama resumed his fanatical war on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners. “Now’s the time for mourning and for healing, but let’s be […]
