looking forward

bus driver's viewConsidering how people regard their lives made me realize the driver’s-eye view is a good metaphor. Sit in your own car, or anybody else’s, and you will find the view FORWARD is completely dominant.

There are three little rear-view mirrors making up a tiny percentage of the whole picture.

What you are doing NOW is right, square in front of you.

Where you are going is new and varied. You have abundant choices with vast vistas and a multitude of options.

Behind you is worth knowing and certainly how you got to your current location.

However, the only way to change your past is to keep going forward.

The only way to improve the view behind you is by wisely choosing the direction in front of you.

What do you want to see in your rear-view mirror
next week?
next month?
next year?
