TSA Looking to Buy 3.5 Million Rounds of Ammo

Despite the Transportation Security Administration being unpopular among a majority of Americans, the TSA is now vigorously branching out and expanding to other stations of public transportation and beyond.

The Administration of course was set up to provide safety for Americans post 9-11 but its delivery of the job falls short of anything close to success – indeed, quite the opposite. Incidences of the TSA stealing expensive property from passengers and hiring criminals have been recorded. Not to mention, the agency investigated nearly 10,000 cases of employee misconduct between 2010 and 2012.

Appallingly, it has even been reported that the administration has also detained a wheelchair-bound little girl on her way to Disney World as well as arrested an employee for raping a young boy. Clearly the TSA has accumulated quite a rap’ sheet, and oddly and chillingly, according to a solicitation on the agency’s website, now its looking to buy some ammo – and not just any amount of ammo… a whole lot of it.

The TSA is looking to purchase “3,454,000 rounds of .347 SIG Caliber Training Ammunition” plus the cost of shipping as well. “The purpose of this combined synopsis solicitation is to purchase for TSA training use, .357 SIG caliber (112-130 grain) training ammunition,” states the TSA on its website.

Currently, TSA employees do not carry firearms, but this solicitation could be a clear indication that it is looking to do just that.
