the good doctor is IN

The saga of my back injury continues. Not healing fast enough, I started hankering for a good Chiropractor. Note: I was not wishing for an AMA-licensed drug-pusher or knife-wielder as neither seemed the right prescription for what I am pretty confident is a badly bruised or squished disc and muscular-skeletal reaction to it. I was much more interested in someone who would actually LISTEN to me rather than TELL me. I have plenty of experience with both types calling themselves “Doctor”. One can be quite useful, but the other is worse than useless as they are simultaneously annoying, incorrect and expensive. Speaking of expensive… it will all be out of pocket for me (I’m one of THOSE that your presidente’ […]

in·cred·i·ble (in-ˈkre-də-bəl)

The article below is representative of the flood of failure reports on Obamacare. Even those who wanted it to fail dared not believe it would be such a complete, utter disaster. The crony-built website will take 19 years just to sign up the people who MUST BE signed up by the end of the year or be in violation of the law…. with the IRS newly armed to take you down for your failure to sign up. It seems incredible it could be so bad. Ah, just so. incredible adjective . 1. so extraordinary as to seem impossible: incredible speed. 2. not credible; hard to believe; unbelievable: These descriptions of disaster all assume the objective was a functioning HealthCare.gov insurance […]

wealthy Chicago throws money away

By Steve Chapman | October 27th, 2013 Article Source In the course of their duties, Chicago police come into possession of all sorts of contraband: jewelry, video games, bicycles, cars. They sell the stuff through online auctions that are open to the public. They also confiscate some 10,000 firearms each year, with an estimated value of $2 million. They sell them and put the $2 million through a shredder. Just kidding. It would be insane to shred large stacks of perfectly good money. What they actually do is destroy the guns. That way, there’s no money to destroy. This practice comes to our attention thanks to a recent report by Robert Wildeboer of WBEZ, the local affiliate of National Public […]

NSA must stop getting caught spying

Surveillance Is for Peons The political class will not be spied on by Justin Raimondo, October 30, 2013 Print This | Share This We’re supposed to believe President Obama had no idea the NSA was spying on Angela Merkel’s cell phone, but the Liar-in-chief was effectively refuted by his own underlings when NSA spokeswoman Vanee Vines huffily told the Wall Street Journal: “The agency’s activities stem from the National Intelligence Priorities Framework, which guides prioritization for the operation, planning and programming of U.S. intelligence analysis and collection.” The NIPF is essentially a list of intelligence targets that sets the general parameters of US covert surveillance activities in various countries, and is personally approved by the President. It’s therefore […]

new look here

I woke up this morning to the realization that There Ain’t No Such Thing As A Free Lunch, TANSTAAFL, applies to my website layout too. I keep learning more about publishing. So I put more bells and whistles on my websites. The more I add to the front page, the more has to load before you see it. In my big city days (Kuna, Idaho) I had unlimited Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I suppose I was a bit jaded. Now on satellite with a 10-gigabyte monthly allowance, I am rapidly gaining sensitivity. Downloading extra stuff EVERY time on every page starts costing bandwidth for you and me both. So I moved all of the videos […]

US vs Them – you are US

Wendy McElroy Know Your Class Enemy, Know Your Class Ally October 24, 2013 Editorial By Wendy McElroy The much vaunted class conflict between rich and poor is political fraud on stilts. It comes from a bastardization of class analysis that is used to divide people who might otherwise unite and turn against the true threat: the state. In reality, entrepreneurs and ditch diggers, venture capitalists and waitresses are members of the same class: producers. Instead of resenting each other, they should join ranks against the class that loots their labor and lives: the rulers. Class analysis is a tool that was developed in early 19th century France by classical liberals including the great economists Charles Comte and Charles Dunoyer. […]

Silencing Dissent By SWATing Messengers Of Truth Sunday, 27 October 2013 02:05 Douglas Hagmann This article was written by Douglas Hagmann and originally published at Homelandsecurityus.com “Fasten your seatbacks and tray tables in their full upright and locked position. We’ll be on the ground shortly.” That is the final warning aboard the aircraft known as America, which will be using runway 39A to taxi to the terminal of tyranny. Most of the passengers aboard the luxury aircraft have no clue to what awaits them, as the captain and crew have lulled the majority into a false trance of tranquility. The few aboard the aircraft who were aware of their final destination tried to warn the other unsuspecting passengers, who have […]

easy money

Money Printing: Everything Old Is New Again “The only thing new in the world is the history you do not know.” — Harry S Truman Vern Gowdie While the world has evolved over the centuries, human emotions have remained the same — happiness, sadness, jealousy, greed, fear. The ruling class and working class are equally afflicted by these emotions. Seeking the easy option is another human frailty that has stood the test of time. It is for these reasons we are destined to repeat the mistakes of our ancestors. The mentality of “something for nothing” has become so entrenched in our culture we have lost sight of objectivity and reality. History is littered with examples of how badly the story […]

treason, traitors and truth

Dianne Feinstein and the NSA vs James Madison You are here: Home Michael Boldin’s Column Dianne Feinstein and the NSA v… A few weeks ago, Dianne Feinstein claimed that mass spying by the NSA is “lawful, effective and constitutional.” Seriously. I won’t waste my time refuting that nonsense. But, I will give you some tools to resist these criminals – without relying on people like Dianne Feinstein to do the right thing. Which, by the way, is unlikely to happen. Ever. More on that – and some action items you can take today – in a bit. But first, a little more from Dianne. UP IS DOWN Calling billions of 4th Amendment violations “constitutional” wasn’t enough for Dianne. She […]

free press on trial

America’s Free Press hangs on Barrett Brown   October 22, 2013. Dallas. Everyone’s heard of Jeremy Hammond, Edward Snowden and Aaron Swartz. But few Americans know who Barrett Brown is. That’s no accident. The Obama administration is desperate to keep the details of his criminal trial secret. And if AG Eric Holder’s prosecutors win their criminal case, America will no longer have a Free Press. Share If this is the end of America’s ‘Free Press’, then this is the fight that will decide it. Brown has been sitting in a federal prison in Texas for over a year awaiting his trial. At first, America’s corporate-owned media outlets did what they always do – they parroted the government line that Brown […]

Why I Won’t Be Charitable When TSHTF

Chris Carrington October 14th, 2013 The Daily Sheeple SHTF Plan Editor’s Note: The following article from Chris Carrington of The Daily Sheeple poses an interesting scenario and one that every prepper has likely discussed with friends and family in their preparedness group. When the system fails how far are you willing to go to help your fellow man? We know what happens when resources run out and panic grips the populace. There will be riots, looting and violence. And despite the inherent good I’d like to believe exists in every human being, when people are at their wits end, hungry, and tired, they will do things they’d never have imagined during a time of peace and stability. This is […]
