By Ted Dunlap, on March 31st, 2013 Now here is a cool tool that I will have to look at later. Maybe you will get to it before I do. This site ranks the 50 states on a freedom index that includes economic, personal, taxes and more. An interactive map lets you click on a state for more detail. An advertised feature I didn’t look at allows you to change the priorities to produce your own ranking. freedom in the 50 states .org I, of course looked at Montana, but will be curious to try the change the priorities option later. The overall freedom ranking is a combination of personal and economic freedoms. Ranking: Overall #12 Overall Change -2 From 2009 Analysis Montana has a better reputation […]
By Ted Dunlap, on March 27th, 2013 I am pretty sure this poster isn’t comprehensive, but it sure brings up a great idea. It also introduces me, and now you, to an interesting and potentially useful website. Foods That Will Re-Grow from Kitchen Scraps There’s nothing like eating your own home- grown vegetables, and there are heaps of different foods that will re-grow from the scrap pieces that you’d normally throw out or put into your compost bin. Remember though, the quality of the “parent” vegetable scrap will help to determine the quality of the re-growth. To find out more, click here: wakeup-world.com: foods that will re-grow from kitchen scraps
By Ted Dunlap, on March 27th, 2013 As a long-term libertarian, I have heard some wonderfully articulate, thoughtful, rational, compelling and passionate arguments on both sides of this. I do not know the answer. I do not know which is right. And I’m a thoughtful, caring. loving, considerate man. What does our society do with this question? They turn it over to the politicians. They turn it over to the political process. They entrust the least trusted people in our society to make the proper determination. You have read it elsewhere. The approval rate of our political class is around 17%. Wow! These slimeballs are the ones to make ultimate moral decisions for THE ENTIRE CULTURE. Gosh, I hate to even put the word culture in […]
By Ted Dunlap, on March 26th, 2013 My friend Gordon collected/selected the following quotes. It is such a good, coherent collection that I couldn’t separate them back out. They just work too well together to do it that injustice. “The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson.” President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, November 23, 1933, in a letter to Colonel Edward Mandell House […]
By Ted Dunlap, on March 26th, 2013 Retired U.S. Army Captain Comes Out Against DHS Threat of War Against American Citizens. March 24, 2013 We, The People DEMAND DHS immediately surrender these weapons, tanks and ammunition to our Department of Defense. It does not take a tempest prognosticator to see exactly what this horrid regime has in store for us. By Captain Terry M. Hestilow Intellihub.com March 24, 2013 (As posted on Facebook Friday) Dear friends, the following is a copy of my correspondence with Senator Cornyn concerning the arming of the DHS for war against the citizens of our nation. You are each encouraged to copy and properly amend this letter to send to your own senators and members of the U.S. House. Further, I am […]
By Ted Dunlap, on March 25th, 2013 Below is the executive summary of CATO’s white paper on Obama Care. Click this link for their site. Despite surviving a number of threats, President Obama’s health care law remains harmful, unstable, and unpopular. It also remains vulnerable to repeal, largely because Congress and the Supreme Court have granted each state the power to veto major provisions of the law before they take effect in 2014. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) itself empowers states to block the employer mandate, to exempt many of their low- and middle-income taxpayers from the individual mandate, and to reduce federal deficit spending, simply by not establishing a health insurance “exchange.” Supporters of the law do not care for this feature, yet […]

By Ted Dunlap, on March 24th, 2013 I just realized I didn’t introduce myself. Hello. My name is Ted Dunlap. Montana has been calling me for a decade. Softly at first, but increasingly adamant until I finally was pushed over the edge and have been sliding down a shale cliff to land in the Bitterroot… completely moved by June 1st. Settled down by … uh, based on experience, never. As you can see from history, I don’t rest when my community is threatened. Idaho Liberty .com Ted Dunlap .net I know there are lots of really good people in the Bitterroot. I look forward to getting to know you, living, laughing, loving and working together.
By Ted Dunlap, on March 22nd, 2013 I am flattered that I was given the opportunity to review this book in draft form and, furthermore, the hanful of tiny suggestions I offered up were appreciated. I confess I have yet to read the final version but am quite frankly surprised by the distribution method and price for Claire Wolfe’s latest book. It is FREE! Well, there are conditions, mind you. AHA! You knew there was a catch. I think you will easily meet them, however. At the bottom I give you two choices of ways to get your copy of this book. First, the conditions straight from the first two pages: This book is for you if … You are a non-violent person engaged in any activity […]
By Ted Dunlap, on March 22nd, 2013 My earlier rather pessimistic post about the cycle of societies brought this quote to mind. I tracked it down and put it here as a reminder. “And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say goodbye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had […]
By Ted Dunlap, on March 22nd, 2013 In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: “A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship.” “The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning […]
By Ted Dunlap, on March 21st, 2013 from the trenches world report .com Go there to see the original article with numerous supporting links. My Fellow Americans, Patriots and Fighters, After reading the article on our site, “Will You Fight”?, and the myriad of responses, I thought it may be worthwhile to point out a few considerations on what will become the most important question, and action Americans will be taking in the near future, which is: “Will you fight?” Let me first state, it seems to be a mathematical certainty at this point, that a civil war, or revolutionary is a forgone conclusion. Not because decent Americans insist on one, but because our wholly criminal, and no longer legitimate government is bent on making one occur. […]
By Ted Dunlap, on March 21st, 2013 MONTANA HB 522 PASSES HOUSE JUDICIARY By a vote of 20-0, a bill that bans cooperation with federal agents over the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) has just passed the Montana House Judiciary Committee. Known as HB 522, the bill would also require the state’s attorney general to report any attempts by federal officials who try to enforce the NDAA. HB 522 is now one step closer to becoming law.
By Ted Dunlap, on March 21st, 2013 Slavery is Freedom — George Orwell “… we understand only the individual’s capacity to make sacrifices for the community, for his fellow men.” — Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) German Nazi Dictator “What we don’t see is that freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.” — Rudolph Giuliani (1944- ) New York City Mayor 1994-2001 Obama Issues Illegal Executive Order Written by Henry Kissinger to Prepare for False Flags!
