Law Enforcement Against Prohibition

activate resistance

This well-written essay is in response to a lot of pressure from many Oath Keepers to form it into a militia to actively resist constitutional and human rights violations by and threatened by the federal government. I post it here with his permission:

We all joined Oath Keepers, perhaps for different reasons, but it was the brilliant idea to reach those who are actively serving that triggered my enthusiasm. I am an old Veteran who can’t add as much to the game as I used to, and I know it. What I can do is support the cause of waking up America to the facts and ask them to support the cause as well. That is what I do. Personally, I rank the missions like this:

• Mission One – Enlist as many Active Military and Law Enforcement into Oath Keepers (or at least educate them to react the same as members) so that if “TSHTF”, they will stand down and not follow orders that are unconstitutional.

• Mission Two – Enlist as many active duty Fire Fighters and EMT’s into Oath Keepers (or at least educate them to react the same as members) so that if “TSHTF”, they will stand down and not follow orders that are unconstitutional.

• Mission Three – Enlist as many (young) Military Veterans and Retired Law Enforcement into Oath Keepers (or at least educate them to react the same as members) so that if “TSHTF”, they will support all efforts to resist evil and tyranny in support of our Constitution.

• Mission Four – Enlist any and all US Citizens who have never sworn and oath to join Oath Keepers (and take the OK oath) in support of the Constitution of the United States.

• Mission Five –
Operation Sleeping Giant.

• Mission Six – Operation Family Safe.

• Mission Seven – Billboards

The reason I rank them is that I believe if and when the time comes, the unity of active duty people in the cause of Freedom will be the most important part of the survival of our country. They will be the last event in the story and the deciding factor in the results of a serious civil uprising. All the activities that could happen, like gun grabs, individual resistance will all happen before the active folks are forced to make the choice of whether to follow orders or turn around and face their superiors and stand down (as a united group or individual). Before any big event, one or two active duty will stand in resistance and TPTB will make examples of them for refusing to obey orders. The big event will come later where the military patriots will stand down.

I pray Oath Keepers doesn’t “evolve” into a premature Militia filled with angry old veterans. From my perspective, it seems the forum is filled with mostly nice old folks venting frustration. That is all well and good but meanwhile, there are also brave, patriotic, young active duty Law Enforcement and Military who have everything to lose if they are caught being affiliated with a far right armed civilian militia. I don’t think Oath Keepers should be actively trying to transform this organization into something it was not originally created to be. I pray Stewart and the BoD keep the peaceful, mission specific goals originally stated for Oath Keepers because I believe any movement toward an even an implied armed resistance group will hurt the mission and force current membership to leave the Oath Keeper organization. Again, the most important mission as stated above is to give some unity to active Law Enforcement and Military who WILL honor their oath.

In summary, when and if the time truly does come where I have to stand, armed, against a tyrannical Federal Government, don’t look beside you to see if I am standing with you. I will be in front of you. Until that time comes, I strongly believe we as old cranky veterans, should stop trying to transform this organization into a Militia. If you really want to join one and you can’t find one, start one I guess. This organization should be careful not to lose the most important members it has so that it can recruit more of the folks that have much to lose.
