prescription head bangers

As prescription mind altering drug use becomes increasingly prevalent, I am among those who get to witness cause and effects. It does not take a particularly astute observer to know there is something wrong here. While alternatives to blow-your-mind drugs may not be as convenient as a handy-dandy little pill, they may well be worth the extra effort. I will let the following linked article excerpts speak for themselves. By all means go to the links for the full story. – Ted ———————————————————— Why do psychiatric drugs have withdrawal syndromes? By Monica Cassani Dr. Joanna Moncrieff, psychiatrist & senior lecturer, University College London: In the course of my work with those coming off psych meds I’ve learned that there are […]

crusty old brains

With few exceptions, muffler bearing wrenches and lumber stretchers come to mind, tools have both suitable and unsuitable applications. As one saying goes, “If your only tool is a hammer, every job looks like a nail”. The converse of that is even more common where the wrench or whatever else is at hand becomes the hammer you need at the moment. The typical seventy-year-old brain is like that, another tool with good and poor uses. While there are significant variations, the old guys have seen a lot of successes and failures, learning from most of them what works in the long run contrasted with what definitely does not. On the other hand, our minds and bodies are more brittle. That […]

cannabis collection

I have bookmarked several articles related to cannabis and the shady legal misdeeds surrounding and nearby the topic. The politicians renamed it “marijuana” to enable criminalization of a product in widespread medicinal use… back in the bad-old-days when major media was the only media. The pressure is on as two-thirds of us want the bad laws repealed. You and I need to keep the pressure on. Step 1 is sharing information and knowledge. I do it here. You should be doing it somewhere – even just sharing links to this page is better than quietly waiting for common sense to infect the swamp. 5 Fascinating Facts About CBD You Need to Know CBD, a naturally-occurring compound, possesses tremendous therapeutic value […]

letting go

Parents, grandparents, siblings and good friends often enable destructive bahavior. Letting go is quite difficult, but more often than not is the right answer. The Declaration of Independence jumped into my head: …a long train of abuses and usurpations… We forgive, cover-for, assist, fret, lose sleep and so-on while they flit in and out of acceptable behavior. It is a show I watched from ringside a generation ago, though then I missed darn near every clue while I struggled to make my business feed and house us all. I am one row back today, but able to play reruns in the face of similar behaviors. Most likely, there was nothing I could do then to change the trajectory. I’m pretty […]

take a step back

A touch of the philosophical is good for the brain. I share this here so I may come back and ponder it from time to time. So far I keep up with the thoughts until the last few lines. I think I need to work it over until I either understand or reject that last bit. The link, by the way, takes you to one of the next-generation social media platforms that have evolved in response to the dark-forces takeover and evil application of the more popular ones. We were hoping the geeks would recognize the problem and use their specialties in creation of alternatives. They have. Now we just have to migrate to them. – Ted Live in Truth, […]

comfortable solitude

I gave it no thought while living it, but realize today just how unique I was growing up. I spent A LOT of time alone without being “a loner”. I graduated high school standing 5’2, weighing 98 pounds without ever feeling small. I spent countless days wandering the adjacent woods. Occasionally my neighborhood friends would wander with me. Most often it was just me and the dog. I played individual sports, team sports, yet could spend hours alone shooting hoops or pounding tennis balls against the wall. I decided I wanted to pitch for our little league team. I built a wooden strike zone target and spent hours, days, weeks by myself throwing baseballs through each corner of it. Of […]

You want the brain tumor to just go away?

The dreaded, crushing words, “Inoperable brain tumor” are in modern medicine a death sentence. However, people who step outside the AMA box have had startling “good luck”. Before I would let them have their way with radiation treatments that sometimes work when they don’t kill the patient, I would be researching alternatives. My first step is always to use an Internet search engine whose results are not rigged. Unlike the 800-pound-gorilla of websearch and information technology, DuckDuckGo does not censor, slant results, or add every search you make to a dossier with your name on it. So go to DuckDuckGo and ask, “inoperable brain tumor shrinks” or something like that. In the results you already know what mainstream AMA medicine […]

Benefits of MCT Oil

By Joan Clark For decades, athletes have been using a secret weapon to help them increase lean muscle mass and decrease body fat. MCT, or medium chain triglycerides, are a type of fat that you find in palm kernel oil, coconut oil, and numerous dairy products, that your body can quickly absorb. The quick absorption and digestion can provide you with numerous MCT oil benefits that include improved cognition, weight management, and heart health among others. Using MCT oil regularly can be beneficial for those who might be struggling with poor digestive health, low energy, hormonal imbalances, obesity, Alzheimer’s, dementia, slow metabolism, inflammatory conditions, and diabetes. The health benefits gained from consuming MCT oils regularly make it an increasingly popular […]

connected with the cosmos

I have published several articles here regarding the function of the hair growing out of our heads (search this site for “hair”). There is more to it than most understand. History is replete with examples of warriors losing powers when shorn, or retaining inexplicable senses with their long hair. We long-hairs cannot quantify differences nor can short-hairs know what they are missing. A few days ago one of those unaccountable things happened to me. I felt an urgent need to take both dogs for an off-leash walk up the road; something I NEVER DO. I tried to rationalize the urge away, but then let it take me to the far side of the road (because the off-leash dogs went there) […]

figuring people out

We tend to consider people in our immediate world through the lense of who we are, what we feel and how we act. Surely everybody is kind-of like we are. Sometimes, however, you find yourself dealing with someone who just isn’t doing what you expect, or reacting in ways that don’t make sense to you. That is probably time to consider they really are not so much like you are. Here is a little review of what psychologists today call “Antisocial Personality Disorder – APD.” ——————————————– Both sociopaths and psychopaths have a pervasive pattern of disregard for the safety and rights of others. Deceit and manipulation are central features to both types of personality. Contrary to popular belief, a psychopath […]

shell people

A granddaughter moved in with us after failing to thrive in The Big City. We were close to her Mom’s last hope. It was going well, we thought, but were recently smacked upside the head that our great little community and wonderful resources were not enough. We involved adults were of the same mind, landing like a ton of bricks on this ungrateful truant. The girl’s world was shrinking and tightening incrementally as previous sanctions failed to deliver desired results. In retrospect: If what you are doing is not working, “do more of it” is not really the greatest plan. But that is where we were headed. Until a couple of wonderful Darby resources turned a light bulb on in […]

news potpourri

I have an accumulation of interesting articles and links that just have not been given the time and attention to become complete posts here. It is time for some house-cleaning of those links before they get old. Here is the down payment on that project. More later. TTFN ———————————————————————————— FEINSTEIN ASSAULT WEAPON BAN OF 2019 [EXPLAINED] This horrible harpy is back with her favorite project: preventing honorable people from defending themselves from dishonorable, totalitarian governments. The Armalite Rifle platform (AR-15, AR-10) is now far and away the most popular design in the USofA with hundreds of producers offering every quality and option anyone could imagine. Interestingly, its use in crime is almost unheard of; statistically near zero. Protecting us is […]

Think your weight loss program is behind?

The failure to achieve our desired weight/fitness goals can be debilitating. I have known some who simply gave up. Mobility, vigor, physical competence were all beyond their reach … ever. They just gave up. Well few of you have as far to go as Kasey King. Look at your situation and imagine that you started losing weight at 700 pounds and are already half-way to healthy. Or give up and head towards matching him. I turned a corner when faced with switching my entire wardrobe to XL. NO! Where does that stop? I revolted prior to becoming revolting… dropped from 220 to 180. Still 10 or more over ideal, but close enough to remain active at my advanced age. I […]

phone weapons

In yesterday’s post (screens are killing kids) I touched a bit on the damage cell phones are doing to kids. The study I linked to did not place the blame on the microwave cooking of brain cells. It left open many other possibilities. However, looking around the unfettered Internet finds stacks of evidence that is mostly suppressed in USofA lamestream media.   Today I take you a bit deeper into the subject with three links and several graphics. There is A LOT more information if you go looking.  Almost none of it is good news for cell phone users.    The Hidden Dangers of Cell Phone Radiation George Carlo, PhD, JD, is an epidemiologist and medical scientist who, from 1993 to […]
