open look at prohibition today

The political power surrounding the long-running war against people who use non-prescription herbs and drugs moved to the states. The federal revenooers are hanging on as long as they can, but are losing their grip on our throats. This 30-minute video is a good presentation about where we are in that process.

cannabis collection

I have bookmarked several articles related to cannabis and the shady legal misdeeds surrounding and nearby the topic. The politicians renamed it “marijuana” to enable criminalization of a product in widespread medicinal use… back in the bad-old-days when major media was the only media. The pressure is on as two-thirds of us want the bad laws repealed. You and I need to keep the pressure on. Step 1 is sharing information and knowledge. I do it here. You should be doing it somewhere – even just sharing links to this page is better than quietly waiting for common sense to infect the swamp. 5 Fascinating Facts About CBD You Need to Know CBD, a naturally-occurring compound, possesses tremendous therapeutic value […]

drug crisis

Politicians mean drugs they have laws against when using this phrase. They are close, like only 180-degrees off. It is their war on people using non-prescription drugs and their rules against natural healers that drive people in the wrong directions. Current polls vary, but at least two thirds of us support REPEAL of all laws against cannabis users and its use as medicine that was safely self-administered for centuries. Note: I did not say “legalize” on purpose. I will welcome reduced government malfeasance on this topic, but until their toxic presence in the world of cannibis is no more, we are all the losers. The winners? Big Pharma, Prison-Industrial Complex, organized crime, asset forfeiture collectors and a few others […]

news potpourri

I have an accumulation of interesting articles and links that just have not been given the time and attention to become complete posts here. It is time for some house-cleaning of those links before they get old. Here is the down payment on that project. More later. TTFN ———————————————————————————— FEINSTEIN ASSAULT WEAPON BAN OF 2019 [EXPLAINED] This horrible harpy is back with her favorite project: preventing honorable people from defending themselves from dishonorable, totalitarian governments. The Armalite Rifle platform (AR-15, AR-10) is now far and away the most popular design in the USofA with hundreds of producers offering every quality and option anyone could imagine. Interestingly, its use in crime is almost unheard of; statistically near zero. Protecting us is […]

even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut

Just a few miles north now lies a bit more liberty than it did yesterday. After the repeal of Prohibition in 1933, the revenuers scrambled for a reason to exist. About that time the white guys in the District of Criminals figured they could smack black folks around at will if they just banned cannabis – which was a lot more popular with colored folks than the whites. Now, after 85 years of us all being jackbooted for contact with an obviously useful easy-to-grow plant, the writing is on the wall. The rulers are losing the war against people who use cannabis… a HUGE number, proven to include Slick Willy and Obummer. Today the Canadian police state has one less […]

Cannabis: A Lost History

The DEA, Drug Enforcement Agency, is a construct that was conjured-up to squash political opposition and enrich friends of the rulers. I want you to read the following article and watch the video with the DEA’s proclamation regarding cannabis in mind. Schedule I Schedule I drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. Some examples of Schedule I drugs are: heroin, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), marijuana (cannabis), 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (ecstasy), methaqualone, and peyote The movie, by the way, is GREAT! It is an hour long. Set aside that time as if it were a Hollywood entertainment flick. You will be rewarded with something much, much better. While I knew […]

news nibbles

I am putting together a handful of news stories that do not warrant their own page here. First is an interesting story of major predators becoming prey. Making it into the financial top 1% is typically a measure of one’s ruthlessness more than any other single attribute. Genius is rarely involved. The Theranos scheme clearly demonstrates that. Attending an institution like Stanford University is not an option for the lower classes like middle and below. The Elizabeth Holmes story starts with her dropping out of her second year there. While the one-percenters might otherwise respect and embrace her crafty immorality, it probably doesn’t go well that she preyed on them rather than the lower 99%-ers. But gol-dang she put on […]

helpful hints for Howard

We met in 2003. Howard Wooldridge was riding his one-eyed-horse Misty from coast to coast publicizing the young organization Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP). We hosted the pair as they passed through Nampa, Idaho … and a couple other times he came, once with brother Frosty. Howard continues championing the war against cannabis prohibition. He has been a resident of the DC swamp for years now, working to educate the ineducable. While he and I agree completely on his objective, we understand the problem quite differently. For 16 years he has worked continuously explaining to the ruling elite what a disaster The War On Drugs is. Know your enemy, Howard. The people who produced Reefer Madness (original 1936 trailer to […]

It’s high time for Congress to end marijuana prohibition

Libertarians denounce Attorney General Jeff Sessions for overriding state marijuana laws from the Libertarian Party – at LP.org On Jan. 4, acting against the advice of his own Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions rescinded the Cole Memorandum. This Obama-era memo had allowed states to set their own cannabis rules and regulations, with minimal intervention by the federal government. In rescinding the memo, the Trump administration has flouted the U.S. Constitution’s provision to reserve most powers to the states, a precept that the Libertarian Party holds as fundamental to the federalist structure the country’s founders crafted. “Sessions’s move to reinstate excessive power at the federal level is like opening hunting season,” said Libertarian […]

Who is winning the war on drugs?

Meet the Special Interests Keeping Marijuana Criminalized Americans overwhelmingly agree that marijuana should be legal, so why isn’t it? So glad you asked… by  Laura Williams In this era of political polarization, when Americans seem to agree on absolutely nothing, let me reassure you. We overwhelmingly agree that cannabis should be legal. 1 in 5 Americans have (state) legal access, 1 in 2 have experimented with it, and more than 1 in 10 smoke regularly. Southern California yuppies are publicly winning prizes for growing the same plant that landed Georgia teenagers in prison. Half of states allow at least limited use, and a few attract elite cannabis tourism. Federally, the drug remains fiercely criminalized, despite irrefutable evidence of its medical value. So what’s the […]

grass is good

I have read many more PROs from the 20+ states who overturned at least some parts of the current federal prohibition, but this list below nails much of it. There is an incredible amount of positive, scientific and historical support for cannabis. The downside seems to all emanate from those who designed The War On Drugs to manipulate society. “happy” anniversary

The federal government assault on people who grow and/or use cannabis is 80 years old today. The elites can celebrate with a few tokes, some brownies, a few lines of coke while the masses languish in the prisons of the country that incarcerates more than the worst dictatorships on Earth, with over half of the inmates in for cannabis “crimes”. The article below highlights some of the unique history of this prohibition.   Marijuana Prohibition Turns 80: Eight Decades Of A Failed Policy October 1, 2017, 2:00 pm Johnny Green Marijuana Legalization Eighty years ago, on October 2, 1937, House Bill 6385: The Marihuana Tax Act was enacted as law. The Act for the first time imposed federal criminal […]

when the obvious becomes hard to ignore

The “war on drugs” scam has been running for 45 years, but its cover appears to be breaking down. The ludicrous Reefer Madness campaign is now widely ridiculed. The state-by-state rebellion of the people against the ruling elite is proving more than the mythology of their war can hide. The scourge to society and its children has not taken place in legalized pot states. The “no medicinal benefits” CDC lie has been thoroughly debunked by real world experience. And now pot prohibition’s obvious funding of organized crime, in both private and government sectors, is being laid bare.   Legalizing Weed Has Done What 1 Trillion Dollars and a 40 Year War Couldn’t Written by Nick Bernabe The $1 trillion War […]

The Freest Country on Earth

from A Geek With Guns A lot of people in the United States mistakenly believe that peacekeeper and law enforcer are interchangeable terms. In a nation where the only laws on the books were laws against harming others that could be true. But a vast majority of the laws in the United States have nothing to do with harming others, which is what a vast majority of prisoners are being held for victimless crimes: In light of that, let us review some statistics which demonstrate just how destructive the mass incarceration of victimless criminals has become to our society. The 2009 federal prison population consisted of criminals who committed these crimes: Drugs 50.7% Public-order 35.0%, Violent 7.9% Property 5.8% […]
